During the day you will gain an understanding of:

  • The business case for disability confident event management
  • The law and best practice relating to disability confident event management
  • The planning process for accessible events: what to do, when to do it and how
  • What disabled people want and expect from accessible events
  • The importance of disability etiquette (disability confident language and behaviour)
  • What good looks like – and why

The course will build the confidence and capacity of delegates in planning in access, responding to additional access requirements, providing effective and appropriate information and ensuring joint working.
