The brief

Canary Wharf is recognised as one of the world's most sought after office and retail spaces, providing desk space for over 120,000 people. Its diverse estate of over 97 acres provides an iconic destination for commerce, retail and leisure. Canary Wharf Management Limited wanted support to maximise the access of their managed buildings, to build the disability confidence of their staff and ongoing ad hoc support in this area.

Our approach

GCL undertook an Access Review of:

  • GCL carried out Access Reviews of, and devised Access Action Plans for Canary Wharf's managed buildings, retail areas, event venues and car parks
  • We provided CPD accredited Access Training to the Canary Wharf Management Limited's building managers, project leads and leadership team
  • We provided Director, Manager and Tenant briefings on access and inclusion best practice
  • We devised and delivered CPD accredited Disability Confidence Training to all levels of Canary Wharf Management Limited staff (127 currently trained)
  • GCL undertook estate-wide 'mystery visits' to assess and evaluate disability confidence in customer service delivery
  • We have provided ongoing access and inclusion project support across the organisation
