The brief

Access and inclusion is imperative to Southampton Football Club (SFC), the club is determined to champion best practice in this area across both its sector and the community it serves. The club commissioned GCL to carry out an Access Review of St Mary's Stadium and to support the club with its future Access Strategy.

Our approach

• We carried out an Access Review of the SFC Stadium in respect of supporters, visitors and other stakeholders with a wide range of impairments
• Working with the club, we reviewed feedback from disabled fans on their perceptions of the club's and stadium's strengths and areas for further development with regards to access
• We presented the findings of the review to SFC key stakeholders and have supported its Access Plan going forward
